Lion Doodles

Decided to work on some personal art tonight after inking some badge commissions. Came up with a few things, including this sketch for an updated icon.

I’ve had this little hardbound sketchbook for a few years now, but I’ve never done anything with it. It’s been sitting on my coffee table, and I picked it up while I was watching Mulan on Blu-ray this evening.

I’m working on an updated reference sheet of my character. This is the result of sketching over many layers trying to get the anatomy right. On this layer, I started drawing in some details: toes, fingers, eyes, muzzle, etc. The face isn’t looking the way I want it to, yet, but it’s a start.
